Joy in the Midst of the Storm

Too many folks look at Christmas and see nothing but tinsel and a pile of presents, but I’m here to remind you—Christ didn't come to establish a holiday; He came to establish a kingdom! A government of peace that rests on His shoulders, not on man’s feeble structures (Isaiah 9:6-7). Yes, God’s glory was wrapped in swaddling clothes, but don’t underestimate the power in that humility. His first coming was a call to repentance; not a festive celebration. He was born to save us and He will come again to judge—know which side of history you stand on.
The tragedies we see today—crime, darkness, sorrow—these are markers that we’re living in the shadow of death. Yet, a great Light has already shone upon us (Isaiah 9:2). If you’re part of His kingdom, then act like it. Walk in the light as He is in the light so you can reflect His glory. But hear me—this requires obedience, the kind that doesn't flinch when discipline comes knocking. Sometimes it's not the devil causing your troubles—it's God trying to get your attention because you refuse to live right. Man up and remember what's required: to be born again. To walk not in the world's darkness but in His marvelous light. Don’t get caught on the flip side of God’s plan because you couldn’t be bothered to leave your sin behind. This is about your soul and His eternity. Don’t miss it.

Listen up, because there's a word for you from Genesis 41. This world's full of noise—dreams and schemes and wannabes claiming they've got a word from God. But when Pharaoh dreamt, he was plunged into confusion and none of his soothsayers had a clue. Only Joseph, the prisoner turned prime minister, could interpret the divine warning. God warns Pharaoh through dreams—not because Pharaoh's heart was pure, but because God's plan doesn't bow to earthly status. Divine wisdom trumps earthly knowledge every time. Joseph didn't rise by accident; he obeyed a divine calling, showing us that true understanding comes when you align yourself with God's will.
You might be tempted by the chatter of modern-day wizards and charmers, but God's voice is consistent—He speaks through the vessel He chooses, not through the noise of the world. You think God speaks to everyone the same way? That's vanity. Learn from Pharaoh: admit when you've reached your limits, and seek God's truth from those who genuinely carry His Spirit. Let Joseph's wisdom be your guide. Obedience to God's order and authority turns confusion into clarity. But beware—false visions lead you astray. If you haven't been moved by God's Spirit, don't assume your journey equals truth. Repent, seek wisdom, and remember—God never abandons His order for human chaos. It's time for clarity, repentance, and a return to divine wisdom.

In "The Spirit is Still Alive," we are pulled deep into the ancient narratives of First Samuel, but don’t be fooled into thinking these stories are relics of a bygone era. No, sir, the spirits we read about then are alive and well today, roaming as they always have, possessing those who ignore or defy God's Word. The deadly cocktail of deceit, jealousy, and unchecked ambition embodied in King Saul is vividly alive in today's world, whether it’s in government halls or among those who profess a faith they've never truly embraced. We're reminded of unspeakable corruption attacking the church, as if the enemy is determined to topple the kingdom from within. If you’ve been lulled into a false sense of security, thinking the battle was for David alone, think again. This warfare is yours too, and it's high time you face it with eyes wide open.
But this ain’t just a blazing warning; it's a call to action. The scripture sings a mighty truth—obedience to God and reliance on His unyielding strength is non-negotiable. Who among you is ready to meditate on His word, to seek His face before charging into the fray? Remember, David didn't step forward without aligning to God's will, and neither should you. Don’t be blind to the wager, for spirits of deceit and ambition still whisper in the ears of the powerful and the meek alike. Listen, it's not just the enemy outside these walls you need to be wary of—sometimes, it’s the one who’s eaten the bread from your table. Yes, my dear saints, trust not in appearances but in the Lord, the Deliverer, the only one who can pluck you from the hands of those who'd watch you fall. Will you seek the Living God, or will you be swayed by the world’s torrent of lies? Choose now, firm and unyielding, because the spirits that plagued the past are waiting to ensnare you today.

“In Heaven and Earth” cries out like a voice from the wilderness, shaking us awake to the truth that nothing is hidden from the Almighty—no thought, no intention, no sin. Jeremiah 23:9-26 lays bare the reality of false prophets who profane the sacred, spinning deceit from their own hearts and leading God’s people astray. The deceit isn’t just among the people—it’s rooted deep within the preachers who should be upholding truth. Instead, they have turned to slick words and empty promises, feeding vanity and false peace, leaving the land void of truth and holiness. If you’re toying with half-measures and false comforts, consider this a wake-up call.
This isn’t about comfort—it’s about conviction. God’s Word isn’t a buffet where you pick and choose—it’s a command. You must repent and return to the God who fills heaven and earth, for there is nowhere to hide. Lukewarm faith and false teachings have left many spiritually barren, wandering from the life-giving truth of the Gospel. It’s time to drop the pretense, face the sin, and embrace true repentance and obedience. I’m not saying this to hurt you; it’s out of love, because God’s heart still aches for His people led astray. So let this call not just rattle you—it should humble you to fall back in step with the divine order and holiness that God Himself demands.

"Nothing is Hidden from God"—a clear, inescapable truth that’ll lay bare any pretensions of secrecy in your heart. You might think you’re hidden in the shadows, but the Almighty sees it all, as testified in Psalm 139. You can't outwit the One who fashioned you in your mother’s womb, who knows your thoughts before you think them. You can dress up your secrets, but He knows every corner of your soul. This study confronts the audacity of trying to duck God's eyes and the folly of lukewarm living. Don’t fool yourself into thinking you can hide from your Creator. He knew you before your first breath, and He’ll know you at your last.

“In the Beginning” isn’t just the opening line of Genesis; it’s the foundation of faith that stands against every ill-conceived notion man has cooked up about existence. This study dares to confront the stubborn skepticism of science with the unshakable truth of Scripture. It boldly declares that God created the heavens and the earth—not chance, not chaos, not a cosmic accident. And oh, how the world tries to twist this truth! Evolution, with its ifs, ands, and buts, stumbles around in the dark while God’s Word remains a lamp unto our feet (Psalm 119:105).
In these verses, we see the Spirit of God moving over the face of the waters—searching, separating light from darkness. Just as He brought order and life into that void, He calls us out from our own spiritual darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). It's time to stop questioning with idle curiosity and start believing with childlike faith. God didn’t stutter when He laid out the foundation of the earth, and He hasn’t left the maintenance of creation up to man’s whim. Let the truth of Genesis rattle the foundations of disbelief and remind you that God’s purpose in creation was not just to make a world but to find you and bring you into His light. That’s the God we serve—intentional, powerful, and unbelievably gracious.

"Use What Ya Got" is a stern old preacher's invitation to wake up to the true battles we face—inside and out. Step away from the world's lies and gimmicks, and listen carefully: both God and the devil have their ways, and you'd better learn to distinguish them. In Genesis 3, the serpent was sly, knowing God's truth more than we might admit. He didn’t attack with blunt force, but with a question and half-truths designed to twist, distract, and ultimately destroy. Misunderstandings and deceptions are Satan's tools. Know your enemy but don't linger on him—know your God better. Job, Exodus, and Kings teach us God’s ways are not mere men’s ways; while man may shift and falter, the God of Israel is steadfast. Every idol fashioned in desperation from past blessings—those earrings, that gold calf—is a cry for comfort that turns to folly. Don’t let the temporary blind you to the eternal.
And how about that obedient widow and her jar of oil, or the loaves and fishes that met every hungry mouth? God's abundance is real and it comes through faith tinged with action. Are you using what God has placed in your hands, or are you burying it under doubt and worldly shortcuts? The deception of self-sufficiency and idolatry lurks in shadows, but trust—trust forged in hardship and honed by scripture—brings deliverance. So, be on guard, brothers and sisters. Satan prowls, swift and subtle, but obedience and trust in God's provision guard the soul. Don't trade God’s eternal truth for the devil's temporary lies. Stand firm with faith that acts and a heart sold out to Christ. Obedience, my friends—it’s not just good advice; it’s your lifeline.

"Be Ready." Two words, yet they resonate with a thunderous call to action and vigilance, echoing through the corridors of history from Thessalonica to your very doorstep. The Apostle Paul wasn't whispering sweet nothings—he was sounding the alarm that rings truer today than ever before. You've heard the lullabies of watered-down doctrine, where truth is twisted to suit the lukewarm. But here's the thing: this is not optional. You must be ready, just as Paul instructed those early believers. This means actively awaiting Christ's return, understanding the times, and refusing to be lulled to spiritual sleep by the deceitfulness of sin.
It's time to shed the darkness and walk as children of the light—alert, sober, and obedient. God didn’t fumble with His instructions. You cannot claim ignorance in this age where "peace and safety" masquerades as a blindfold over your eyes. You're not called to complacency; you're called to be vigilant warriors of faith, guided by action and love, edifying one another as you await the coming of our Lord. If you're slumbering, it's time to awaken and don the armor of faith and love. May your soul be stirred with preparedness, your heart braced with the hope of salvation, because this world is unraveling fast, and God’s truth will remain the only constant shelter. Be ready—not in theory, but in real, life-changing practice.

Be Vigilant—two words that carry the weight of eternity. This study demands that you strip away the veneer of casual faith, laying bare the urgent call to watchfulness and sobriety. 1 Peter screams for the church to awaken! This isn't a suggestion; it's a lifeline thrown out to save you from the lion’s jaws—because the devil roams the earth seeking whom he may devour. It's time to get serious about your walk with God. The Word doesn't play games, and neither should you. A lukewarm life risks everything, and this isn't a gamble you want to take.
The message is clear: true vigilance means more than just looking alive. It means aligning every thought, word, and deed to God's standards. If your lifestyle wavering is causing even one soul to stumble, it’s time to set course back to the righteousness only found in Christ. The Holy Ghost isn't just a comforter, friend; it's your power to live a life that withstands the tide of worldly temptation. Time is short, and it's closer than it's ever been. The call is to live a life of action, endurance, and sincere love; to stand firm amidst suffering and shine the light of Christ so brilliantly that the evildoers have no choice but to glorify God. Make no mistake—your works speak, and they'll either testify for you or against you. Choose wisely, because eternity waits for nobody.

Pay attention now—the Good Shepherd, Jesus, don’t play when it comes to His sheep, and He expects His under-shepherds to do the same. The message here isn't complicated, friends, but it is often ignored. "Verily, verily," the Lord warns, "He that don't come by the door is a thief and a robber." And let’s not sugarcoat it: if you don’t come by the right path—if you aren’t born again, if you aren’t filled with the Spirit—you’re not part of His fold, plain and simple. John 10 is a clarion call to cut through the fog of false teachings and misconceptions around salvation. It's time to stop making excuses and get right with God, for real. Quit trying to climb some other way. Get through the door, which is Christ Himself, for the Kingdom of God is at stake.
The world is full of hirelings, those who care more for money and position than they do for the souls entrusted to them. They scatter the sheep when trouble comes because they're in it for themselves. If you’re under one of these sweet-talking thieves, run! They won’t teach you about being born of water and Spirit because they’re too busy piling up riches. But the Good Shepherd—He laid down His life and calls each of us His own. This ain’t about religion or rituals; it’s about entering into true, abundant life. And if these words cut, remember it’s meant to heal. Salvation isn’t a suggestion—it’s the only way to avoid spiritual death. Be born again, get right, and hear the Shepherd's voice, because He’s coming back for His sheep.
